Saturday, from 10am-1pm for a 2ceu class to be held at Keokuk,
Iowa
It will be a unique presentation by a registered nurse who
helps around the world on cleft palate and cleft lip surgery with a
charitable group.
It will cost $20 to have the class and all
the money will go to pay for a child's surgery. This will be
our community service for dental hygiene month for our
component. The speaker will not charge for speaking so all we
give will go for the surgery. One child's life can be changed
for the surgery cost of $240. That would be for just 12 of us
to attend and pay for the class. That is totally within in
reach to achieve.
If we have more money it will go towards a
surgery for a second child.
The speaker is a nurse who is
from Ottumwa and has gone to help on four continents and 9
countries. She will be helping in Kenya and India this year
before she talks to us. She will give us a handout and show us
slides of what they do and their experience.
